       _{People didn’t usually surprise Hannibal, but in this moment he was surprised.  He received a photograph from Alana Bloom of her exposed upper half.  After he saw the picture, he saved it but deleted the message before deciding how to reply.  The picture would stay between them — for the time being, at least, but he was curious as to why she would have sent  it.  If he said it didn’t arouse him it would be a lie, however.}

_{[ SMS to: BLOOM, ALANA ] : Is there any reason why you sent that to me?}

_{Face flushed a burgundy shade, she nearly drops her phone. The response to her text certainly hadn’t been the person she had intended on sending it to. In fact, it was far from what it looked like.} 

_{[ SMS to: LECTER, HANNIBAL ] : That wasn’t for you.}

_{[ SMS to: LECTER, HANNIBAL ] : It was for mammogram screening.}

_{[ SMS to: LECTER, HANNIBAL ] : From last week.}

_{Her doctor had advised her to maintain an eye for abnormal lumps and growths, but it certainly hadn’t been intended for the eyes of others.}
